Disney wish

Will treasure it

“Why you crying Mum’?

“Well sometimes I feel sad. Like you when you fall down, you cry from the pain, I feel pain in my heart, just a lot of things I am thinking about love don't worry your mind over it".

"Okay mum". A worried expression crossed Elvina’s face.

"You know when you were, very little, when you were in Mummy's tummy. I loved flowers, I couldn't get enough of them, their beauty, their sweet flowery scent and I'd feel at peace. I knew that I would have a very special child. Here you are now, eight years old, a very spirited young lady, a joy to my heart and to many who see your lovely smile".

"Aah, thanks mum". Elvina gave her mum a big warm hug.

"Now run along now child, it is a beautiful day, it's a shame to waste the day all couped up inside the house with me".
"I love to be here with you mum, but okay, I feel like going to see all the flowers in our garden".

With a rush of excitement, Elvina ran into the garden. There were so many beautiful flowers in the garden, Elvina’s mum loved to do the gardening in her spare time.

Near the end of the garden was a little path that lead deep amongst trees, it was a protected forest area to protect wildlife. It was a joy to a young child to see all the lovely wildlife, to see many different birds, possums, even koala's and wombat's plus many other different varieties of wildlife.

Elvina followed the path that lead to a stream, there Elvina spotted the most beautiful flower. Inquisitively, Elvina drew closer. "Wow, how lovely", Elvina said with awe.

It was the most deepest of pinks and in the centre the pollen powdered with purples, red and blue, the sun shinning down on it made it appear glittery and shimmered. It was a magical sight for anyone's eye's especially for Elvina. Elvina contemplated on picking the flower, but thought not.

"No take it", said a soft whispery voice. There appeared from nowhere, what looked like the daintiest little fairy Elvina had ever seen. Not that she'd seen any fairy's before. " Wow, where did you come from, are you a fairy", Elvina said with mixed excitement and fascination.
"You could call me that, but I am the guardian of flowers, that connects your world from our world of magic dreams. Your world and our world were once only one world, but things have changed and became two worlds, separated. The flower is the only connection that can bring back people to our world".

Why are there two worlds, what happened", Elvina said, still many questions on her mind. "People forgot the beauty in their world, some only saw suffering and pain. Peoples fears brought shadows in their world. And in the shadows there you will find anger and much unhappiness". Elvina shivered, thinking of the shadows. "Fear not my child, there is hope". A glimmer of hope sparkled in Elvina’s eye's "What is it"?
The fairy pointed with her dainty hand at the flower, "look child what do you feel"?
Elvina looked at the flower, "well, it's very beautiful". "Yes but what is it you feel, in your heart"? "It feels good to look at it", Elvina said, not knowing really what to say.
"That's right child, when you look at the flower, it makes you feel good. It shows you how beautiful the world is. It is the image of hope for people to find their innocence within. Go now child bring the flower with you, give the gift of the flower to someone you love. When they see beauty of it, they will be reminded of their happiness and peace within".
"Will I see you again"?
"You will child, but once you grow older, you will not see me again".
"Why"?

"When you grow older, you will find many difficulties in life, that will lead you away from your heart, but if you remind yourself of beauty and innocence in you, and spread your love through giving, you will find many joys. Be reminded always, when you take the time to look at the flowers, feel what's inside of you. The beauty in flowers is the beauty in people, people have forgotten".
"Take care child, I will see you again".
And as the fairy had first appeared, she was gone.
Elvina gently picked the flower, and hurriedly went home, being careful not to break the delicate petals.

"Mum, mum". Where are you mum"?
"Elvina, I am in the bedroom. What’s wrong"?
Elvina hurriedly rushed into the bedroom, presented her mum with the flower and told her all that had happened. Her mother still teary eyed from crying, was now smiling, with disbelief. "That's a lovely story Elvina". Exclaimed her mother, not sure whether to believe the child, but was gazing at the beautiful flower that laid on her lap. "This flower needs water, and will put it in a vase, so we can admire it's beauty. Oh what a lovely sweet scent”. Said mother, as she got out of bed.

All mothers worries, now forgotten as she helped Elvina put the flower in the vase and mounted it on the kitchen window.
Elvina knew her mother was thinking of her father. Elvina was very little when her father died. To see her mother smiling, warmth Elvina’s heart. Elvina gave the flower to someone she loved, although it did not heal her mother's pain, it did how ever remind her mother of the happy times with life.

"When you were little, your daddy loved you very much, he used to take you everywhere. You loved being bounced on daddy's knee. I remember when you grabbed a dandy lion and gave it to your daddy as a present. I still have it in the photo album. Mum disappeared in her bedroom and came back out with a baby album, it was covered in velvet blue. It was very dusty, like it never been touched in along time.

Elvina’s mother sat next to Elvina, cuddling Elvina in her arms, they shared all the happy moments when Elvina was a little child. Her father smiling at her in the photo's, cuddling Elvina’s mum and Elvina cuddled between them. As they sat there gazing at the warm memories, there outside the window next to the flower was the fairy with a delightful smile, and there next to the fairy was Elvina’s father's spirit, contented to see that his loved ones were all well.
After looking at the album, mother and Elvina got up and both gazed at the kitchen window where the flower was, the fairy was no longer there. I will treasure it always, thank you Elvina. Elvina was not only thinking of treasuring the flower, but also all the wonderful memories.
Elvina gave her mum a big, big hug. Me too Elvina said, remembering all the fairy had told her. Will treasure it always.

Elvina grew up into a wonderful women, she worked where she could help people deal with pain and loss and healed many people thru her loving giving heart.

And true to her promise the fairy came and visited her here and there, but never saw her after the age of sixteen. But the memories were still strong in her heart.

Through wholesome giving we shall receive life's many joy's.
Don't over look life's simplest treasure, "Giving".
